Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RAISIN APPS LTD ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use our mobile application Printer (the "App") and any related services (together, the "Services").
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@raisinapps.io.
Summary of key points
- Your documents stay with you. The photos, files, scans, web pages and contacts you print are processed on your device and are sent only to the printer you choose, over your local network. We do not upload or store them on our servers.
- We collect usage and diagnostic data. To keep the App working and to improve it, we collect information about how you use the App, your device, the printers you connect to and the results of print jobs. This includes the addresses of web pages you open and the searches you make in the App's built-in browser.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- Payments are handled by Apple. We never receive your card or other payment details.
- We do not process sensitive personal information, and we do not collect information about you from third parties.
- You have rights over your personal information depending on where you live. See "What are your privacy rights?".
1. What information do we collect?
Information collected automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect the following information and send it to our own analytics service:
- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, language and region settings, and a random identifier that Apple provides for our apps on your device (identifier for vendor). This identifier is not linked to your name or Apple Account and is reset if you delete all of our apps from your device. Like any internet service, our servers also receive your IP address when the App sends data.
- Usage information: the screens you open, the buttons and features you use, and when you use them.
- Printer information: details the printers on your network report about themselves, such as the printer name, manufacturer, model, firmware version, status, supply levels, supported features and the printer's network address and service name. The name of a printer or of the computer sharing it can include a name chosen by its owner.
- Print job information: for each print job, the type of document and where it came from (for example, photos, files or a web page), the number of pages and copies, print settings, the printer used, how long the job took and whether it succeeded. We do not collect the contents of what you print.
- Built-in browser information: the addresses (URLs) of web pages you open in the App's browser and the search queries you type there. We do not collect the contents of those pages.
- Diagnostic information: error codes, crash and performance information, and technical details of failures when connecting to or printing on a printer.
Information you provide to us
- Support requests and feedback: if you write to us by email or through the App, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to attach. The App can attach an encrypted diagnostic log of the current session to a support email; the log describes what the App did (for example, printer connection steps and errors) and can only be read by us. You can remove the attachment before sending. Feedback you type inside the App is also recorded in our analytics service together with your usage information.
Purchases
Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store. Apple processes your payment; we do not receive your name, card number or billing address. We receive information about your subscription status (for example, whether a subscription or free trial is active, the plan and its renewal date) so that we can unlock paid features. Apple's handling of your data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
Information from third parties
We do not collect information about you from third parties.
2. What stays on your device?
The App asks for access to certain device features only when you use a feature that needs them. You can change these permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
- Local network: used to find printers on your Wi-Fi network, send print jobs to them and read their status and supply levels. This communication happens directly between your device and the printer inside your local network.
- Camera: used to scan documents for printing. Scans are processed on your device.
- Photos: when you choose photos to print, the App receives only the photos you select, through Apple's system photo picker.
- Contacts: when you choose a contact to print, the App receives only the contact you select, through Apple's system contact picker, and uses it to prepare a printable page on your device.
- Files: documents you import, scan or edit are stored in the App's private storage on your device so that you can print them again. They are deleted when you remove them from the App or delete the App.
- Notifications: used to tell you about the progress of a print job. Notifications are created on your device.
The contents of your photos, files, scans, contacts and printed pages are not sent to us.
3. How do we use your information?
We use the information described above to:
- provide the Services, including finding printers, printing and showing printer status;
- unlock and manage your subscription;
- diagnose and fix problems, including printer compatibility issues, and answer your support requests;
- understand how the App is used and improve its features, reliability and performance;
- protect the security of the Services and prevent fraud or misuse;
- comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. What legal bases do we rely on?
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the GDPR and UK GDPR require us to explain the legal bases for using your personal information:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the Services you requested and to manage your subscription.
- Legitimate interests: to understand how the App is used, diagnose problems and improve the Services, and to keep the Services secure. These interests are not overridden by your rights, because we do not collect the contents of your documents, do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
- Consent: where we ask for it, for example for access to device features. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligations: where we must process information to comply with the law.
If you are located in Canada, we process your information with your express or implied consent, or where permitted or required by applicable law.
5. When and with whom do we share information?
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers that host our infrastructure or help us operate the Services, under contracts that require them to protect the information and use it only on our instructions.
- Apple, which processes App Store purchases and subscriptions.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or part of our business.
- Legal requirements: where we are required to do so by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users or others.
6. Third-party services and websites
Some features connect you with services of other companies. Their own privacy policies apply to the information they receive:
- Dropbox: if you sign in to Dropbox in the App, the App receives a sign-in token from Dropbox that is stored on your device and downloads the files you choose directly from Dropbox to your device. See the Dropbox Privacy Policy.
- Built-in browser: web pages you open are loaded directly from their websites, and searches are sent to the search provider (Google). Those websites and the search provider receive the information your browser normally sends, such as your IP address.
- Printer manufacturers: the App may open support pages of printer manufacturers, which are operated by those companies.
- Your printer: documents you print are sent to the printer you choose. Some printers keep a job history or have their own cloud features; this is controlled by the printer's settings and its manufacturer.
We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party services and websites.
7. How long do we keep your information?
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (for example, for tax or accounting purposes). Support emails are kept while we handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your information, we delete or anonymize it, or, if that is not possible (for example, because it is in backup archives), we store it securely and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
8. How do we keep your information safe?
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Data sent from the App to our analytics service is encrypted in transit, and diagnostic logs attached to support emails are encrypted so that only we can read them. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot promise that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom, and your information is transferred to and processed in the United Kingdom. Our service providers may process information in other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the EEA or the United Kingdom to a country that does not provide an adequate level of protection, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
10. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and the United Kingdom), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@raisinapps.io and we will delete it.
11. What are your privacy rights?
Depending on where you live, including in the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Canada, you may have the right to:
- request access to and a copy of your personal information;
- request correction or deletion of your personal information;
- restrict or object to the processing of your personal information;
- request data portability, where applicable;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- not be subject to automated decision-making.
To exercise these rights, email us at hello@raisinapps.io. Because we do not use accounts, please include information that helps us find your data, for example the date you used the App or the email address you used to contact support. We will respond in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority or, in the United Kingdom, to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Controlling data collection on your device. You can turn off access to the local network, camera and notifications in your device's Settings, and you can delete the App at any time, which removes the files stored in it. Deleting all of our apps also resets the random identifier described above.
12. Do-Not-Track
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") setting. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized, so we do not currently respond to DNT signals. We do not track you across third-party apps and websites.
13. Rights of United States residents
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah or Virginia, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.
